News: What’s happening

Habitus Art

I have recently begun partnering with Habitus Art, a German company selling high quality paint-by-numbers kits. You might be wondering why I would actively encourage customers to copy my art. The way I see it, you have three choices: 1. You could buy an original painting from me which might set you back a bit financially. 2. You could buy a print, affordable and easy. and lastly, 3. you could purchase a painting kit and spend some time with a brush in your hand and get lost in the process of painting. I know how much I value my time drawing and painting. It’s the perfect way to unwind from daily stress and be away from screens of all kinds. The end result is a work on canvas that will be something that you have created on your own. I’m all for it. Habitus Art Painting Kits

Book illustration

US publication

I’ve begun working on covers and illustrations for a middle grade book series, mystery chapter books. I’ll be sharing the images as soon as the first book is published. Very excited about this project! I think it will be a big hit with teachers and libraries and young readers who love solving mysteries. If all goes well, there will be four new books every year, coming out each season.

Vienna Comix

I’ll be at Vienna Comix this year, with a table full of zines and cartoons and other illustrations, both originals and prints. Something for everyone! Location: Marx Halle, Karl-Farkas-Gasse 19, 1030 Wien. May 30th and 31st, 2026.

First cartoon in The Times Luxury

I started submitting cartoons to The New Yorker back in early 2019, and I have reached my “bucket list” goal and sold to them twice so far. I’m the kind of person to plow ahead and keep going, spending little time reflecting on achievements since they’re never enough. I have other bucket list goals which I’m working towards now. It is important to slow down and see how far I’ve come. I’m a a fairly regular contributor to nine US publications, as well as two in the UK: The Oldie, a publication which I really like. I decided to try my luck with The London Times and have recently sold five cartoons for Times LUXX, the first of which is here:

Currently hanging:

I have four new cartoons in the Krems Museum of Cartooning, Austria’s one and only museum dedicated to cartooning and caricature art. Here’s the current exhibition info in English: Forest Longings. Show dates: 2.07.2025 – 01.07.2026.

Karikaturmuseum Krems

Coming up some time in 2026:

Ernst Fuchs Museum, Wien.

I’m excited about having many of my paintings hanging at the Ernst Fuchs Museum in a solo exhibition. They’ll be hanging in the Cafe Esther Gallery right next to the Villa. There’s also a small cafe there, where I will be hanging some of my latest gag cartoons. Check back here for the exact time and date of the opening. The opening hours of the gallery/cafe are: Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00-5:00pm, and Friday through Sunday, 10:00-5:00pm.
